New Year’s Resolutions for Puppies

January 1 2016

Are you starting out 2016 with a new puppy? Congratulations! We love watching puppies grow from furry little balls of cute into happy, healthy adult dogs. This is a great time to set some goals for your pet care routine, and make sure little Fido gets started out on the right paw in life. Of course, your new canine pal also has a big year ahead of him, with some very important milestones to hit. If your puppy could make resolutions, what goals do you think he would pick for himself? A local Cherry Hill, NJ vet offers some great new year’s resolutions for puppies.

Figure Out This Tail

It’s hard not to smile when watching a puppy chase its tail. Little Fido may need a bit of time to figure out what that furry thing is for!

Be Adorable

This one probably won’t be too difficult! Puppies are super cute. Those puppy kisses and adorable little tail wags will definitely win you over, if they haven’t already. Remember to capture Fido’s childhood in photos: your canine buddy will be grown before you know it.

Learn New Things

Your canine pal has lots to learn in the coming months. Fido should be housetrained and crate trained, and will also need to learn the five basic rules of good doggy obedience: Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, and Lay Down. Of course, once the little guy has these things down, you can start to have some fun with your furry friend’s education. Teach him some new tricks!

Have Fun

Puppies are very playful and full of energy. Take time every day to play with your canine pal. Go for long walks with the little guy, and indulge him in games of fetch or tag. The joy your dog feels at just being a dog may very well be contagious!

Grow

Little Fido will grow up fast! Help him grow strong and healthy by providing him with high-quality food, excellent veterinary care, and lots of toys and stimulation. Don’t skimp on the belly rubs, either: the more time you spend with the little guy, the stronger the beautiful bond of love and friendship between you will become.

Happy New Year! Please reach out to us for all of your puppy’s veterinary care needs in the coming year. As your Cherry Hill, NJ vet clinic, we are here to help!
