Kitties may be small, but they all have their own purrsonalities. Some kitties are talkative and frisky, while others are, well, rather lazy. However, our adorable feline pals do share some common opinions about certain things. A Cherry Hill, NJ vet discusses some of Fluffy’s pet peeves in this article.
Baths
Cats are definitely not big fans of baths. There may be a good reason for this: water can be very dangerous for a kitty, and the smell of wet cat fur can attract predators. Then again, maybe Fluffy just knows she doesn’t look her best when she is sopping wet.
Car Rides
Fluffy has her own take on the laws of physics and motion, and doesn’t really enjoy being in a moving vehicle. In fact, your cute pet may very well meow at the top of her lungs to protest the indignation of being brought for a car ride! (Tip: always keep cats crated for travel.)
Loud Noises
Have you ever dropped a pan while your furball was in the kitchen? Your feline friend likely bolted out of the room at top kitty speed. Given that napping is Fluffy’s favorite pastime, it isn’t really much of a surprise that loud noises are near the top of the list of things she hates most!
Incorrect Attention
Cats can be quite the little snugglebugs, but they are also pretty picky about the type and amount of attention they get. If you try to pet your feline pal when she isn’t in the mood to cuddle, she’ll likely jump out of your arms or walk away, and then stare at you disapprovingly from across the room. Of course, Fluffy may decide she wants to be petted while you are in the middle of doing something, but, well, that’s kind of what cats do.
Strangers
While some kitties will barely blink if someone comes over, others will bolt for cover the moment they hear the doorbell.
Tips
Of course, cats are very curious and quirky little furballs. We wouldn’t be surprised to find that some of our feline patients love baths, while others may really enjoy Sunday drives. With kitties, you just never know!
