Could a hidden illness or injury be plaguing your pet?
When people get sick or hurt, they contact their doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it isn’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are capable of hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics allow us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of injury or illness can vastly improve the chances of a positive outcome.
The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Animals First + Veterinary Hospital, Urgent Care & Wellness Center makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in a matter of minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.
When a physical examination and laboratory work aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Images can be analyzed by our team in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your animal friend has been acting a bit out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Give us a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your pet back on the path to good health again.
