Times Fluffy Didn’t Get the Memo

April 15 2020

Cats are very cute and charismatic pets. While all of our feline friends have their own unique quirks and purrsonalities, most of them share some common likes and dislikes. Tuna and catnip? Good. The sound of a kitchen pan banging? Not so much. However, some furballs definitely go against the grain. Here, a Cherry Hill, NJ vet lists a few times that Fluffy missed important memos.

The Hairdo

Although cats come in an amazing variety of colors and coat types, most of them opted against curls. The LaPerm and Selkirk Rex, however, decided that they wanted to rock curly coats. These cute kitties definitely have their own unique looks!

The Wardrobe Malfunction

Speaking of coats, a few of our feline pals also skipped that communique. A few kitties, including the lovable Sphynx and the Donskoy, forgot to get dressed!

Swimming Time

Cats usually hate water. To be fair, we can’t blame them for this. Currents can be very dangerous for kitties. Plus, water can hide predators. Of course, Fluffy may also just know that she looks a bit silly when she’s sopping wet. However, someone forgot to tell the Bengal about this. These charismatic felines love playing in water! The Turkish Van, Turkish Angora, and American Bobtail also enjoy swimming.

The Car Ride

Most of our feline patients are definitely not fans of going for car rides. Many of you have probably heard your kitties meow loudly in protest all the way to the clinic, and then all the way back. Apparently, no one told the Manx this. These adorable furballs often love riding in cars!

Red-Pawed Furball

Although ferrets are notorious for having sticky paws, kitties aren’t really known for hoarding things. However, there definitely are some cat burglars among our feline buddies. Fluffy has brought a rather ‘purrplexing’ variety of goods back to her owners, including socks, hair ties, bracelets, underwear, stuffed animals, and even sausages.

The Donut Raid

Scientific tests have shown that cats can’t taste sweetness. Or at least, they aren’t supposed to. Some furballs seem to love sugary snacks. If your pet is one of them, be careful about indulging Fluffy’s sweet tooth. Many baked goods contain xylitol, which is toxic to our furry pals.
