Happy New Year! As we toss out our old 2019 calendars and hang new ones, many of us are thinking about our goals for 2020. While we can’t predict the major events that will shape the coming year, we do have a pretty good idea of what our feline patients will be up to. Read on as a Cherry Hill, NJ vet lists some things on Fluffy’s 2020 agenda.
Finish Training The Humans
Our feline friends have a way of melting our hearts. They also have a way of wrapping us around their paws! If Fluffy doesn’t have you trained to feed or pet her on demand, well, she may have plans for you this year.
Help With Housework
Many cats will spend the majority of 2020 napping, sleeping, and dozing. However, even the sleepiest furball can’t spend all of her time snoozing. Fluffy will at some point try to offer you her ‘assistance’ with things like changing the sheets or wrapping gifts. How thoughtful!
Run Out In Front Of You
Kitties are very small, so sometimes they have to work to get our attention. One of Fluffy’s tried-and-true methods here is to run out in front of you. Your furball may do this to let you know she wants food or attention right meow. Or, maybe she just wants to help you work on your balance by making you adjust course.
Steal Chairs
Our feline buddies are very opportunistic, especially when it comes to napping spots. It’s probably safe to say that your kitty will take your spot at least once next year.
Play With Something That Isn’t A Toy
Cats are very playful, which is always adorable to watch. However, Fluffy’s choice of playthings can be, well, a bit purrplexing. Sooner or later, you’ll find your pet playing with something random, like a piece of paper or cotton swab. Just be careful not to let your kitty play with anything that isn’t safe!
Sprint (For No Reason)
Our furry pals are full of interesting—and highly entertaining—quirks. At some point this year, Fluffy will suddenly dash out of one room at full kitty speed … for reasons only she knows.
